SCLEROTHERAPY

Sclerotherapy is a safe, effective and nonsurgical treatment for spider veins and some small varicose veins. The procedure involves injecting a medication, called a sclerosant, into the vein which causes the vein to become inflamed, and seal closed over time decreasing the appearance of the veins.  Sclerotherapy is the first line treatment, or gold standard, for treating spider veins and is effective in a series of 4-8 treatments.
